About Somarae
Nervous System Intelligence for the modern world — where neuroscience, somatics, and AI meet to support real human regulation.
Our Mission
Somarae's mission is to help one billion people become more regulated, radiant, and reconnected to their bodies.
This mission matters now more than ever. Chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, disconnection, and polarization are not just mental health issues — they are nervous system issues first. Mindset tools and cognitive advice can only go so far when the body doesn't feel safe. Real change starts in the body.
When people learn to self-regulate — and to co-regulate in community — the ripple is enormous. Families calm. Relationships deepen. Workplaces become more creative, humane, and resilient. Leaders make clearer decisions. Culture shifts. Nervous System Intelligence isn't a workplace perk or a wellness trend — it's a life skill, and one of the most urgent literacies of our time.
Meet the Founder
Somarae was founded by Marian Bacol, a Certified Somatic & Trauma-Informed Coach, Breathwork Facilitator, and TEDx Speaker. Marian's work bridges neuroscience and somatics, AI and human connection, leadership and embodiment.
After years of working with high-performing leaders, women, and corporate teams, Marian recognized that most wellness tools addressed the mind — but left the body behind. Somarae was built to change that: a platform that meets people in the body, where dysregulation actually lives, and gives them practices that work in real time.
Who We're Built For
Everyone — with deep personalization for women
Somarae is built for anyone navigating stress, burnout, or life transitions who needs body-based tools that actually work in the moment. For women, we also offer optional cycle- and hormone-aware personalization — adapting practices to your menstrual phase and to perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause — so your support meets your body where it actually is.
Corporate Teams
Organizations — led by CHROs, Chief People Officers, and L&D leaders — that want to reduce burnout, improve focus, and build stress resilience through a research-backed Nervous System Intelligence program.
Grounded in Research
Somarae's approach draws on peer-reviewed science, including Stanford University's 2023 cyclic sighing study (Balban et al.), the largest randomized breathwork meta-analysis to date (Fincham et al., 2023), and Thayer & Forte's research linking heart rate variability to executive function and leadership performance.
We are not a meditation app. We are a nervous system platform — and that distinction matters.
